   Human health is essential for the proper sustainable development. To improve the quality of life of people we can best move forward promoting disease prevention techniques and medications. As well as treatments that improves the quality of life of people with cancer. However, it has been evaluating the possibility of finding a cure for cancer. Science and technology plays an important role in the health sector. Nowadays, globalization has brought benefits to solve the problems of people.

   Having so many people interested in research, makes us think that from the moment humans created the first vaccine to prevent disease, was the beginning of industrial development in health. Technological development has led to an astonishing change in medicine. Its progress has revealed many processes that explain the causes of many diseases, events that occur in the human body and the consequences that generates.

   Over the years, scientists have found the key to treat different diseases. For example: vaccine is a way of creating immunity to certain diseases by using small numbers of dead or weakened microorganisms that cause disease in particular. Now it is recommended vaccinating children to not suffering diseases such as diphtheria, polio, tetanus, hepatitis, mumps, and many more. This means that children are protected in an easy and economical way. To mention technology as an indispensable help for people, we can´t forget the progress that we have had.  New equipment that doctors now use has helped to treat diseases such as radiotherapy, x-ray that improve the resolution, ultrasound, magnetic resonance.

   All these equipment have made easier the work of doctors to make diagnoses and to save patients. The technology rises to the challenge of improve new ideas to change the world and have advantages. Regarding to autoimmune diseases, doctors and scientist have been looking the cure. It has been a challenge because, these diseases are complicated. Rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, Parkinson's disease are a few examples of these diseases. Thanks to a new therapeutic product, researchers have for the first time managed to cure some cases of arthritis in mice. Scientists are now planning future testing of drug efficacy in humans.

   It´s indisputable that technology and medicine are good complements. Many discoveries have helped to save the lives of many patients. The great challenge of medicine has been increasing as a result of increment of diseases. Modern technology has brought joy and hope to many families who have had to face relatives with cancer. We can´t lose hope we get to find a cure for many diseases because, it has made ​​many improvements over the years.

Masterpiece

   Art is a way of expressing the feelings of people. I've always admired their work, because it’s undeniable that these persons are artists and have a particular quality in their abilities. There are different types of art. Each work of art depends on the timeline that is because; each moment in history is very striking. They make a short summary of the most important events in the history and represent creating masterpieces to remember those moments that mark the time.

   I love the art of picture. To be honest, it´s very impressive to see their ability because, they with just a brush and paints do wonders. For example: Picasso was a famous artist. In fact, he was one of the best painters around the world. Another example of masterpiece was Leonardo Da Vinci. He painted La Gioconda an amazing picture. Unquestionably it´s the most famous paintwork in the world. But It´s not clear-cut why Leonardo wrote in mirror form.

  

   Not only painting could be examples of art. Music represents the abstract form of art. It´s the one of the most important structure of human lives, because without a doubt it´s a perfect complement of films, plays, festivals and many more. We can mention one of the most talented musicians to have ever lived Mozart. He was irrefutably exceptionally gifted. It´s not my kind music but people who like to play his traditional music are in love with his interpretations.

   

   Also there are many role plays that have been important through time. One is Hamlet written by Shakespeare; it shows a wonderful story where you can see an environment that has been showing how humans behave talking about revenge, murders and a very interesting point that is intelligence to discover what happen before and what could happen, As a matter of fact, get a second option if something change by the moment. This play shows how people trust anyone and it reflects a truth. Nowadays that’s why it has been very important through the time.     

  Anyway, literature has been the weapon of many writers to express their feeling and show a different way of art.Being an artist generally implies many discipline and love for what you do. That is because it´s regarding passion, they devote to their masterpieces and have generated their fame. Each person has their way to create their own art and do wonders.

Violence and Discrimination

    I would like to make a small introduction about this subject that has been considered priority in our country, because nowadays, people are worried of many actions that some persons do, violate the integrity of people. I consider these events don’t have to occur. We are in a different era with modernist thoughts so we can do the difference and make a change. First I will mention some ways that people with their acts discriminated other persons.

   

   Many years ago, not only Costa Rica was a country with discrimination. What I mean is that around the world have performed actions that governments make to keep their people in command and generates discrimination. Some governments feel higher and they need ‘’strategies’’ for keep people doing what they feel good for their country. For example: one case very popular that occurred long times ago were the World Wars, the first and the second. Both were extremely terrible, because caused material losses and human lives and not only that. Persons who were victims, were psychologically affected by the way that they were killed and discriminated, especially Jews.

   

   We can include many types of violence and discrimination for example: when men attack his partners and we can’t ignore that women can also harm too. Even many times people discriminate people who are sick, especially with AIDS. They think that, if you have some relationship with these persons you can get infected, but it’s not true. Only, if you have intimate contact with these persons. You can do the difference and integrate these persons into society.

   

   On the other hand, the salary has been a problem because, women are still paid less than men. It´s shocking because all people are equal as indicated our constitution but don’t apply what it says. Is contradictory women had to fight for many years to get what they have today for example: the power to vote, but they still fight to obtain equality that they deserve in the society.

    

   Finally I could mention many examples of discrimination and violence but could be a lot of information. What you need to do is to promote equality in all aspects: age, pregnant women, nationality, color of skin, religion, sexual preference and so on. Demonstrate that you can do the difference.  The world has to implement peace and love as used to say hippies and if you assimilated this phrase is true. I invite you to create a world without discrimination and violence and you can see smiles around you instead of sad faces. 

Green Costa Rica

   Costa Rica is a tropical country with great potential. It´s a wonderful place. Everyone who visits our country are amazed by the scenic beauty, but in some cases people don’t take care for natural resources or just don’t care and it´s terrible because, this country is rich in nature and biodiversity.

   Many people said that Costa Rica has many forest resources that help to purify the air. It´s considered true. For example: our National Parks and Wildlife Refuges help to protect and preserve different species especially, endangered. Another advantage is the variety of flora and fauna. This is due to our tropical weather. Even though, Costa Rica uses renewable energies like: geothermal, hydroelectric, wind and so on.

   On the other hand, Costa Rica is a country surrounded by the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean. That makes to get benefits as attract tourist, and that is incredible because, people who live near these places can take advantages. For example: they could sell souvenirs, give tours for the foreigners and more things.

   It´s a country with large cattle and agriculture. That generates a lot of incomes. However, the problem is that agriculture needs vast space to grow and promotes pollution. Another bad habits that ´´Ticos´´ have are: they don’t use the ideal containers to throw the garbage. ´´Ticos cut trees instead of planting. Some people mistreat animals. Throw garbage into rivers, and many marine species die.

   What I mean by this is that we have a wonderful country full of attractions; People have to value and preserve the nature that God has given us. Care and keep clean throughout the territory of Costa Rica. Many countries don’t have the opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty that Costa Rica has. This is the reason why ´´Ticos´´ need to be concerned and search solutions or create plans that help Costa Rica preserve their natural wealth.

France a Dream Country

I recommend you to go to Paris the capital city of France. Paris is a beautiful place you can enjoy with your family and friends. Also Paris is considered the city of love, if you would like to go with your boyfriend or an exceptional occasion in a honey moon.

If I were you, I would take the decision right now, because not always you have the opportunity to see these spectacular places. I encourage all foreigners to go to Paris.

Well the most important thing is what places you can visit

The Eiffel Tower is the National Monument of Paris. It´s a unique experience because this tower has 1665 steps but you can take the elevator. Inside of the tower have different restaurants. I recommend you to go at night, because you can see the city  with all lights.

I advise you to go to the Cathedral of Notre Dame. Important events have taken this place that could be noted between the coronation of Napoleon Bonaparte, the beatification of Joan of Arc and the coronation of Henry VI of England. You can relive the fantastic moments of the movie hunchback of Notre Dame.

Another place that you can visit is the Palace of Versailles. An amazing adventure you can see the Hall of Mirrors. It´s said that is usually full of people , so you can avoid go after mid-morning. About food don’t forget to taste the traditional wine, cheese, crepes and the famous dish of ratatouille. It´s believe that is the best food of this country.

Something important that you shouldn’t forget is the public transportation. Paris has many ways to transport you; for example you can take the metro, it’s the fastest mode of transportation. Obviously, if you prefer, you can take the bus.

It´s believe that Paris is the fashion city. Be careful if you want to buy something elegant, because it’s a little bit overpriced.

I urge you to visit this wonderful place. You can learn a different culture and make sure speak french because this is the mother language and you could communicate with other people.

I have been dreaming with this trip all my life. I hope someday can go. I´d never been there, but always it´s said that stay in Paris is like a dream and it´s totally different.

Introduction English IV

Welcome to English fourth, I’m very excited because I like  this language. When I was in school I started to learn a little bit about English. Then I continued in high school.  I need to admit that it was good, the only bad thing that I regret is in all those years I didn’t devote the necessary time to my English classes, so now I realize the mistake I made,  because I had the opportunity and I didn’t pay the necessary attention , then  I didn’t  realize how important it could be English in my life, especially at this time that I study dentistry and sometimes I need to speak English in some courses and I felt worry about that.

But the only thing that makes me happy is that I have the chance to continue learning and now I am more dedicating  than before.  This week I started the last course of English in my university. I was scare because every time for me English has been complicated but it’s important   to face challenges and be a positive person.

The last Monday was the first class. We have a new teacher, she has a good pronunciation and I like so much the activities of the class, because we always laugh and have a good time and the most important thing is that I will learn a lot. My first impression of the class was weird, because for all the reasons that I said before I was nervous, but then I felt comfortable with the class. I hope I can learn more and have a good time.

I think I can do it, I want to learn English, an obviously speak fluently; I know that I need to practice all the time, it´s a challenge.

Nowadays, English is one of the most important languages of the world, actually, most of the jobs ask you to speak English, if you don’t speak English you will have fewer opportunities in your working life.
